This contest was SO DIFFICULT to judge!  We received 10 heartfelt entries!  Because it was so hard to narrow it down to just one winner - we've also picked a 2nd runner up and a 1st runner up in addition to the Ultimate Stacy Contest winner!

What was the contest?
The one and only Stacy Julian, founding editor of Simple Scrapbooks Magazine and co-founder of Big Picture Scrapbooking, will be presenting an inspiring keynote address at our all new Opening Ceremonies event!  How do we know it will be inspiring?  We’ve read her book and love her magazine and she’s been inspiring us for years – and now she’s here to share with you, too!

So here’s what you have to do....tell us why YOU want to meet and mingle with Stacy Julian!  You’ve got 500 words or less to get your point across, so make them meaningful!  Your words can be heart wrenching, funny or inspiring (but make them TRUE – we’re not giving away Hannah Montana tickets here....)  You also need to complete a layout that supports, represents, coordinates, and/or emphasizes the reason why you want to win the Ultimate Stacy Package.

And just what IS the Ultimate Stacy Package?  You’ll receive entry into our ALL NEW Opening Ceremonies Event on Wednesday, May 7^th  where you’ll enjoy wine, cheese and crackers and other special treats!  There will be contests and prizes and displays from some of our exhibitors showing you all the great products the Mega Meet has to offer – and then comes the moment we’re all waiting for – Stacy’s keynote address!  But wait – there’s MORE!  You’ll get a signed copy of Stacy’s new book Photo Freedom!  And guess what – it’s not the ULTIMATE package unless you also get to attend Stacy’s class, Finish Line Scrapbooking, on Thursday morning! 

The fine print –

• All entries must be submitted via email to UltimateStacyContest@megameet.com by 8pm Eastern Time on March 1. 

• Type essays into the body of your email message, with the subject line “Ultimate Stacy Contest” and attach a digital picture or scan of your layout to the email. 

• You will receive confirmation that we have received your entry via email within 24 hours (PLEASE wait the WHOLE 24 hours!!) of your submission.  If you do not, please CALL us at (248) 583-7133. 

• Essays that are longer than 500 words may be disqualified. 

• Layouts may be one or two page spreads in any size.  If your layout requires any explanation, include that in the body of your email as well. 

• Please keep in mind that the primary element of this contest is the ESSAY and how the layout relates to it – not the design of the layout. 

• Winners will be announced BEFORE registration opens for the Great Lakes Mega Meet – so don’t worry, you won’t buy a ticket and then win one later!
