We at Scrapbooks Mega Meet, LLC:

• VALUE all of our customers – exhibitors and consumers alike.  We strive to treat them all with respect and are diligent in seeking their feedback in order to create the highest quality events possible.  Our top priority is exceeding the expectations of all our customers.

• WELCOME all exhibitors that provide top quality products in the scrapbooking, paper crafts and photography industries.  We work hand-in-hand with both manufacturers and retailers to ensure the very best the market can offer.

• are DEDICATED to continually reviewing our event strategies and components, monitoring the marketplace, and integrating customer suggestions to make our events the best in the country. 

• are PROFESSIONAL and operate with the utmost level of integrity.  We are honest and open with all event reports, facts and statistics and adhere to a stringent code of business conduct.  We do not tolerate unethical business conduct by our staff, exhibitors, or from those associated with the facilities we utilize.

Our History:
Founded by three friends in late 1999, each year the Mega Meet has continued to grow.  The first ever Great Lakes Mega Meet was held in April 2000 in Hall B of the Novi Expo Center, in Novi, Michigan.  In  2001, the GLMM was moved to it's now traditional Mother's Day weekend, and into Hall A for more space!  Also in 2001, the first Ohio Mega Meet was held in October in Akron, OH.  A second Ohio Mega Meet was held in Cincinnati in September 2002.  In 2003, the GLMM was moved into Main Hall to accommodate the explosive growth.   In 2004, the GLMM celebrated it's 5th Annual Event.  In 2006 the GLMM moved to Novi's new facility - the Rock Financial Showplace - less than a mile from the former Novi Expo Center!  We look forward to welcoming 8500+ attendees to our 9th annual Great Lakes Mega Meet in May, 2008!

In 2003 SMM held it's first ever Mega Cruise, and it's first of many Mega Retreats held at resort locations throughout Michigan.   

Of the three founders, Kate Griswold remains as the President of Scrapbooks Mega Meet, LLC.

Other important members of our team include, Tara Jalandoni, Show Floor Manager and Administrative Assistant, Cara Baker our Exhibitor and Special Events Manager, and Sponsorship Coordinator, Terri Wood, Registration Manager with Margie Martin, Assistant Registration Manager, and Kim Pichler, Classroom Manager with Donna Kosnak, Assistant Classroom Manager.

We can't forget John Griswold - our software specialist, bookkeeper and general problem solver!
